DESCRIPTION:Join Your Women’s Fund Miami-Dade on July 9th 2026  for our Impact Collaborative\, Aging with Security: Advancing Economic Stability for Women conversation focused on the unique financial and systemic challenges impacting women as they age and the solutions needed to build greater long-term economic security and wellbeing. \nAnchored in our Economic Mobility pillar\, this webinar will explore how retirement insecurity\, caregiving responsibilities\, workforce transitions\, healthcare costs\, financial exploitation\, and barriers to economic stability disproportionately affect aging women across our community. \nElder abuse and exploitation remain significant yet often overlooked threats to the wellbeing and economic security of older adults. According to the National Council on Aging\, approximately 1 in 10 adults age 60 and older experiences some form of elder abuse each year\, with women accounting for more than 65% of victims nationwide. Financial exploitation—including fraud\, scams\, identity theft\, and the misuse of an older adult’s assets—is among the most prevalent forms of abuse. Data from the National Center on Elder Abuse identifies financial exploitation as the most frequently reported form of elder abuse\, with family members often cited as perpetrators. Beyond the financial losses incurred\, these violations can erode an individual’s independence\, dignity\, health\, and long-term economic stability\, creating lasting impacts for older adults and their families. \nThis conversation aims to foster awareness\, connection\, and action toward creating a more equitable and supportive environment for aging women in Miami-Dade County while highlighting the vital role of community collaboration\, advocacy\, financial literacy\, fraud prevention\, and inclusive economic strategies in advancing economic mobility for older women. \nSave the date and join us on July 9th  for this important conversation as we work together to strengthen support systems and opportunities for aging women in our community. \nThis event will have closed captioning available. DESCRIPTION:Join Your Women’s Fund for the basics we all need to learn.  This eye-opening\, solutions-oriented Impact Collaborative is anchored in our Health & Wellbeing Pillar and the exciting collective impact work of AIM: Alliance for Infant and Maternal Health. Experts will bring lived experience and make visible powerful\, community-rooted\, community-driven approaches that can prevent and address maternal hypertension and improve outcomes for birthing people and infants. This is not simply about life and death\, but about long-term health and the ability to thrive. That affects entire families\, the workforce\, and beyond. \nBirthing people in our community continue to experience high rates of maternal morbidity and mortality\, with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy\, including chronic hypertension\, gestational hypertension\, and preeclampsia\, among the leading and most preventable causes. These outcomes can be linked not only to individual behaviors but also to systemic inequities embedded across healthcare administration\, housing stability\, economic opportunity\, environmental stressors\, and access to timely\, high-quality\, and respectful pre- and post-partum care. \nDuring this Impact Collaborative\, we will lift up what we know works: community-based doulas and midwives\, culturally responsive prenatal and postpartum support\, early blood pressure screening and monitoring\, patient education rooted in trust\, and neighborhood organizations that help ensure warning signs of hypertension and preeclampsia are recognized and addressed before they become life-threatening. \nThis conversation will explore how policy\, healthcare systems\, philanthropy\, and community organizations can align to dismantle barriers\, close gaps in care\, and scale approaches that honor the voices and leadership of Black birthing people. \nWhether you’re a healthcare provider\, nonprofit leader\, policymaker\, student\, funder\, advocate\, or community member\, this session will deepen your understanding of how centering community expertise is essential to creating a more just and responsive maternal health system. \nRSVP now and join us on April 9th\, 2026 at 9:00 AM via Zoom \nThis event will have closed captioning available.
