Join your Women’s Fund on Thursday, December 5th for our Impact Collaborative: Women’s Fund’s Holiday Gift To You: Tools Training to Take You from Data to Action!

Throughout the year, Your Women’s Fund has centered its work around our four key pillars: Freedom From Violence, Health & Well-Being, Economic Mobility, and Leadership. Each month, we’ve brought you timely conversations on these critical topics. This December, we are shifting focus to offer a hands-on training session to equip you with the essential tools needed to drive gendered change in Miami-Dade County.

During this interactive webinar and training, Vivana Alvarado our Director of Research & Policy,  Pacheco will introduce you to three powerful tools developed by The WFMD, that will help leverage your work, and do a step-by-step walk-through on how to use them:

The Gender Equity Dashboard
is an in-depth report that examines the infrastructure, challenges, and funding gaps faced by 68 community-based organizations serving women and girls in Miami-Dade County. This tool sheds light on the often-overlooked efforts of these underfunded and underrepresented organizations, providing critical insights into how we can bolster their capacity and amplify their impact in the community.

The Gender Equity Index
Developed by The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade measures progress toward gender equity across four key pillars: Economic Mobility, Health & Well-being, Leadership, and Freedom from Violence. Based on an international model and applied locally in Miami-Dade County, the GEI highlights the interconnected challenges women and girls face and offers data-driven insights to support policymakers and the community in addressing gender disparities.

The Miami-Dade Self-Sufficiency Standard (SSS)
is a comprehensive resource that measures the actual cost of living in Miami-Dade by considering essential expenses like housing, childcare, food, healthcare, and transportation. By offering a clear picture of the financial pressures on various family types, the SSS highlights the economic realities many households face, revealing just how far some are from achieving self-sufficiency without external assistance.

Together, these tools offer a data-driven understanding of the gender inequities that persist in our community, from economic disparities to the infrastructure gaps affecting organizations serving women and girls.

Join us to learn how to navigate these resources, harness their insights, and take actionable steps toward creating a more equitable Miami-Dade. Save the date for this essential training on Thursday, December 5th, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. Let’s work together to drive solutions that uplift women and girls across our community!
