While the traditional means of human trafficking remain in place, cyber technologies give traffickers the unprecedented ability to exploit a greater number of victims across geographic boundaries. As stay-at-home orders remain in place for much of the U.S. during the pandemic, there is growing concern about increased use of cyber technologies to expand traffickers networks and reach. We met on September 3rd to discuss issues and potential solutions associated with human trafficking and cyber technologies in times of COVID-19.
