“I truly believe that liberty for a woman comes from the ability to make financial decisions for her life.”
Reeman Bint Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Arabian ambassador to the U.S.

This event took place November 2 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Join your Women’s Fund for an insightful virtual event to shed light on the critical economic mobility issues of savings, retirement, and wealth that disproportionately affect women.

According to our Gender Equity Index: Economic Mobility policy paper, economic disparities women face can last a lifetime. The inability to build wealth impacts a woman’s financial stability, economic security, well-being, and access to opportunity, making it more difficult for women to weather financial challenges, have positive economic mobility, and build wealth.

In Miami-Dade County, where women have a longer life expectancy than men, senior women aged 65 and over face a 27% poverty rate, compared to 20% for men. This inequality stems from the pay gap and women’s limited access to wealth-building opportunities earlier in life.
