About AIM

Vision: Create a safety net city for infant and maternal health.

Mission: To accelerate the measurable reduction of maternal and infant mortality and morbidity statistics in Miami-Dade County by cross-sector collaboration between private and public, large institutions, and grassroots community-based organizations.

AIM Action Areas

  • 1

    Convene multiple stakeholders outside of institutional silos to identify 3-5 actionable areas to reduce mortality and morbidity and agree on a common agenda to impact measurable outcomes.

    Create a Data Analytics Dashboard for capturing and sharing AIM-identified data points on Infant & Maternal health in Miami-Dade County.

    RFPs for Grantee Partner Solutions to address gaps and needs identified by AIM to provide culturally relevant solutions.

    Deploy AIM Public Awareness Campaigns with universal health messaging to all populations, regardless of economic status. This will create credibility and add to the common knowledge bank across all sectors of the community.

Our Why

Miami-Dade County is in the midst of an infant and maternal health crisis. We are not alone, this problems mirrors a larger national trend. Mothers in Miami-Dade County face an alarmingly high risk of complications or even death related to childbirth, with access to quality, affordable healthcare standing as a major hurdle.
