The Librarians Film, The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade, and local nonprofit partners are proud to host 4 FREE screenings of THE LIBRARIANS across Miami, October 20-22, 2026. All screenings will be followed by a panel discussion with Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning Director/Producer Kim A. Snyder, Film Participant Rev. Jeffrey Dove (Clay County, FL), and local Freedom to Read advocates. REGISTER HERE.

As librarians in Florida and throughout the nation navigate rising book challenges, a 2026 Emmy Award-winning documentary is coming to Miami to engage in timely community conversations about the importance of hyperlocal civic engagement and the role school boards and library boards play in determining our Freedom to Read.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue about rising rates of censorship, what’s at stake this election cycle, and how to get involved in the intergenerational fight for our freedom to read.

All events are free and open to the public, but we encourage registration because seating is limited. Read more about the events and opportunities below:

Directed by Academy Award® nominee, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Director / Producer Kim A. Snyder (Death By Numbers, Us Kids), THE LIBRARIANS reminds us of the core principles that uphold democracy and the brave librarians at the front lines risking their careers and freedom to protect access to information and defend our rights.
