Prosperity Social & Community Development Group, Inc. (PSCDG) works to provide meaningful opportunities for marginalized women and teen girls in Miami-Dade County. They strive to revitalize social and economic development in underserved communities.
Ladies Empowerment and Action Program (LEAP) is an innovative, inside prison reentry and post-release support program designed to encourage and empower incarcerated women to be economically self-sufficient and crime-free. LEAP’s approach includes entrepreneurship and employability training, financial literacy, mentorship, and life skills.
Project Description:
LEAP TO PROSPERITY is a partnership program between Prosperity Social & Community Development Group, Inc., and Ladies Empowerment and Action Program. The successful case management and curriculum of PSCDG’s Women and Girls NOW (Needing Opportunities to Win) Project will be replicated to assist the incarcerated women who have completed the innovative LEAP in-prison program and are engaged in the re-entry phase. The goal of the program is to provide enhanced support and individual assistance to women as they are reincorporated into society, empowering them to make positive life changes while preparing them for the business world after they are released.
